Raising Money for Habitat for Humanity

To raise money for Habitat for Humanity, Cochran Exteriors hosted the “Dunk Your Coworkers” charity event on June 30, 2017 as part our Cochran Cares Initiative. For $1, employees took chances at hitting the bulls-eye on the dunk booth to soak their coworkers, in the name of charity and playful revenge.

“It’s a ton of fun for a good cause,” said Kirstan.

John said his employees are like his family.

“I’ve worked there for 7 years, and he’s the same all the time,” Sharon said. “He’s a wonderful boss and a wonderful man. It’s a great place to work.”

Ross and John wanted to host a fundraiser not normally seen in Indianapolis. Through donations from employees Cochran Exteriors was able to raise $280.00 for Habitat for Humanity.

“We’ve has done food drives for homeless shelters, but nothing like this,” Victoria said. “We want to keep it creative, keep it exciting and make it to where people get interested in getting involved.”

Ross hopes to make “Dunk Your Coworkers” an annual event.

Despite being chilled by the afternoon breeze, John still wanted to help out. “Owning your own home and investing in it is everyone’s dream,” he said. “It goes hand-in-hand with what we do as roofing contractors. I think it’s important that we do step up and participate in things like this.”
